The chances were many over the seven-year career but always something happened to prevent the 23-year old from notching that . . .

Sitterly & No. 7 Team Continue to Reign at Oswego

By – Chris Porter

Otto Sitterly says that looks can be deceiving out on the track. However, if Saturday night’s 75-lap Jim Shampine Memorial win wasn’t as impressive as it appeared, then his fellow supermodified competitors certainly have their work cut out for them. Consistency CAN win you a track championship, winning consistently WILL. It was Sitterly’s fourth straight Oswego supermodified win dating back to 2009′s International Classic 200.

After running into trouble on more than one occasion last weekend, Abt was able to make repairs and put his No. 85 back to its week No. 1 form.

Once battling his way up to the second position, Abt raced behind teammate Tim Barbeau before Barbeau’s No. 58 machine went sour on a mid-race restart. Abt inherited the lead and kept SBS veteran . . .

SuperStar of the Week

By - JJ Andrews

This week’s SuperStar award isn’t just for one SuperStar. It’s a group of people, who saved a possible disaster last week in the pits.

A small fire started in small block supermodified driver Dave Danzer’s pit after a fuel can caught on fire, possibly from static electricity. The fuel jug flamed up a little, and was thrown to the center of the pits.  But a small fire immediately turned into a large, frightening . . .
