The Oswego County Quarter Midget Club held its annual Classic event Saturday afternoon at “Claytona’s” 1/20-mile track, located at the corners of Howard and Silk Roads in Volney. Beautiful weather greeted all in attendance as seven race winners were crowned in their respective classes.

The first race on the schedule was the largest – the 40-lap, 10-car Sr. Honda event. Camden Proud nabbed the early lead from the pole position, bringing Zach Sobotka, Kyle Perry and Amylynn Holland across the stripe with him to complete the maiden lap.

Rudolph, Buchanan, and Hewson Grab Checkers

It may have not been in the most exciting fashion Saturday evening, but at night’s end, Otto Sitterly and David Cliff were crowned 2010 track champions at the Oswego Speedway.

Mother Nature attempted to wipe out the evening’s scheduled events – twin 30-lap supermodified features and twin 20-lap small block supermodified (SBS) mains. However, fans, crews and speedway officials waited out the initial rains in hopes of finding an open window to run the show.
